Los Angeles Lakers Name JJ Redick New Head Coach

The Los Angeles Lakers officially announced this Monday that JJ Redick will be their new coach, replacing Darvin Ham. The Lakers did not give details of Redick’s contract, but the ESPN network assured that his agreement is for four years.

In a statement released by the Lakers this Monday, Redick showed his happiness at joining “one of the most iconic and successful sports franchises in the world.”

After firing Darvin Ham and receiving rejection from UConn coach Dan Hurley, the Lakers decided to hand the job to Redick, 39, who He will thus face his first experience on a bench of the NBA.

Redick, who played 15 years in the NBA, is working right now to form his coaching staff.

The now coach will join the Lakers project and will coach LeBron James, with whom he has been collaborating in recent months on a podcast in the United States.
