Louise Maraval, silver medalist in the 400m hurdles at the European Championships

The Frenchwoman became the second tricolor to be a medalist in the women’s 400m hurdles during the European Championships.

Tuesday, Louise Maraval became the second tricolor to be a medalist in the 400m hurdles at the European Championships after Chantal Régal in 1982, third. The 22-year-old athlete crossed the finish line in 54”23 [son record personnel, NDLR] behind the reigning Dutch champion Bol, who retained her title (52”49). Her teammate, Peeters completes the podium with a time of 54”37. This is already the tenth French medal in Rome in these European Championships. “I am very happy with the race and the time.
