Starting tomorrow, Saturday, June 29, Prime Video will release a remarkable German in-house production: The film “Perfect Match – The Steffi & Andre Story” retells, in a fictionalized way, the love story that continues to this day between the two tennis mega-professionals Steffi Graf (22 Grand Slam titles) and Andre Agassi (8 Grand Slam titles).
Lena Klenke (“8 Days”, “Loving Her”) takes on the role of the German “Miss Forehand” Steffi Graf, while the temperamental American “Tennis Punk” Andre Agassi is played by the Briton Toby Sebastian. The role of Steffi’s father Peter Graf is played by none other than Michael Kessler. Actress and Agassi’s ex-wife Brooke Shields is played by Bianca Bardoe. Other roles are played by Danny Szam as Philly Agassi, Inka Friedrich as Heidi Graf, Leonard Schneider as Michael Bartels and Eric Alexander as Brad Gilbert. In his younger years, Steffi Graf is played by Hanna Aurnhammer and Andre Agassi by Daniele Malcosti. The official trailer has now been released:

The action begins in the early 1990s, at a time of absolute tennis boom. While Steffi Graf is already in the international spotlight, a young, talented American tennis professional appears on the scene. At a press conference in Paris, Steffi Graf and Andre Agassi meet in front of the eyes of the world. It quickly becomes clear that Steffi has turned Andre’s head. However, a happy ending is still a long way off, because Steffi is extremely focused on her career and also very shy – difficult conditions for Andre to win her heart.
In addition, both have strong father figures whose dreams they should make come true. But they also want it themselves, because ambition determines their lives. A lot happens before the two become a couple – on and off the tennis court. While Steffi meets the seemingly perfect man in Michael Bartels, Andre marries the dream woman of an entire generation: US acting idol Brooke Shields. Steffi doesn’t notice much of this, because she is busy dealing with the personal crisis surrounding her father and is trying to somehow come to terms with his prison sentence and the separation of her parents. In the end, however, Steffi and Andre get to know each other better and realize what they have always been looking for in a partner and what makes them even stronger together…
Bravado Media produced the film in collaboration with MarVista Entertainment and Bravado Equity with Eric Welbers and Maik Homberger as producers. Florian Gallenberger served as director and screenwriter, Chris Silber as co-writer.
