The German and Danish players were informed about the man on the roof structure during the European Championship round of 16. However, the events had no concrete impact on the course of the game or the departure after the match.

Emergency services approached the man after the final whistle and spoke to him. A helicopter also illuminated the roof of the stadium. The published video briefly shows the spectator stands; at the time of the access, many spectators had already left the stadium.
