Margot Lambert’s Journey to Badminton Success: From Ardèche to European Champion

Margot Lambert is from Ardèche but it was in Tahiti that she discovered badminton at the age of 8 when her parents, PE teachers, were transferred, but it was really four years later on her return to mainland France that she regularly practiced the discipline. The native of Guilherand-Granges was then licensed at Tain-Tournon badminton club where she signed her first performances. The results continued for Margot Lambert, in the youth and then in the seniors. She is now licensed with Red Star Mulhouse and achieved consecration last April by winning the European doubles title with Anne Tran, in Germany.

Margot Lambert is not ruling anything out for the Paris Olympics

The Ardéchoise, originally from Tournon, is preparing with two daily training sessions for this global event. ” Our duo with Anne Tran is very complementary. We know that Asia dominates world badminton but we will arrive in Paris with a lot of confidence thanks to our European title and we will give everything to try to win a medal.”. explains Margot Lambert.
