The owner of Milan, Gerry Cardinale, and Erick Thohir, former president of Inter and current number one of the Indonesian football federation, met in Jakarta, as evidenced by a photograph with a handshake posted on social media by Thohir. “It was nice to meet Cardinale. Given my experience as president of Inter – the message posted on Instagram – I discussed with him the challenges I faced while managing a club in Italy. Solid foundations are needed to be able to rebuild a club with a great history”.
Cardinale is in Indonesia with Matt Damon for one of his many business trips.
The Rossoneri club has always been attentive to the interests and perspectives of the Asian world, over the years it has established important commercial relationships and organized tours with the team.
The affection of the fans towards Milan is certain and even the Cardinal himself during his visit to Indonesia was able to evaluate firsthand the passion of the Asian supporters, with some Milan fans who recognized him and asked for photos and selfies.
