“A tournament that is a real luxury because not everyone can boast of having a competition of these characteristics in which the main teams in our country and Europe want to participate,” said the Sports councilor.
OTHER SPORTS ACTIVITIES
Apart from this “great tournament”, Javier Escribano has detailed other sports competitions that will be held in the coming months, among them, one of Indoor football, which is resumed after the great reception received.
“In principle it was planned for 10 teams, but in the end there will be 12 because we don’t want anyone to be left out,” he explained. This tournament will run until July 25.
On the other hand, “we are launching a new activity, completely free”, it is a Fronton Tournamentfor people over 18 years old, which will take place during the Patron Saint Festivities in August, in honor of El Salvador.
Those interested have until June 25 to register “in pairs”. There will be four weeks of competition, starting the activity the first week of July.
Also for this year and throughout the month of July, we want to organize a Table Tennis Tournament in August, although as a “new thing”, this year there will be an Open Day, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays mornings for “anyone who wants to prepare or train”, thanks to the collaboration with the tennis group of the Senior Center. “A group that has been consolidated since they have been carrying out the activity for three years”
This table tennis tournament will be held on August 5 and registration is also free.
“Sports activity in La Roda does not stop even if we are on vacation, thanks largely to the involvement of all the clubs,” concluded the Sports Councilor.
And there will also be a Foosball Tournament for all ages that will take place on August 7 and whose registration period ends on July 26.
