Mercato: PSG targeted Juventus defender Dean Huijsen

At PSG, the 2024 summer transfer window will be marked by the highly anticipated succession project to Kylian Mbappé. But Parisian leaders are also focused on how they can strengthen their rearguard in a balanced manner.

In this sector, the French champions are seriously considering the signing of Dean Huijsen. The 19-year-old young Spanish Espoirs international, who also has Dutch nationality, under contract with Juventus (until June 2028), comes out of a very successful six-month loan at AS Roma. His age, his profile as a player comfortable with both feet and athletic (1.97 m) as well as his potential appeal to Parisian decision-makers.

A transfer of around €20 million

To this day, the Parisian priority still remains the arrival of Leny Yoro. The arrival in Paris of Lille, if it were to be concluded, would involve a transfer of a significant amount, beyond 50 million euros. But there is another strategy, which involves recruiting several less expensive players, notably Huijsen whose transfer would cost around €20 million. In this list is also the Dutchman Lutsharel Geertruida (23 years old, under contract with Feyenoord until 2025).

This summer, the capital club should recruit at least two defensive positions. The staff indeed has real questions about the state of competitiveness to which those injured in recent months will return, namely Presnel Kimpembe, Lucas Hernandez and even Milan Skriniar (who reappeared on the pitch at the end of the season and who is participating in the Euro with Slovakia).
