Mexico edges out Jamaica 1-0 in Copa América Group B opener

Mexico defeated Jamaica 1-0 this Saturday at the close of the first day of Group B of the Copa América, in a match in which El Tri improved in the second half and the Reggae Boyz maintain a negative record of not having scored nor added a single point in 7 games in the tournament.

In the first half, Mexico lost its captain Edson Álvarez to injury in the 30th minute, who left the field of play in tears and his football was lost in the midst of concern.
