Miami Heat Declines $4 Million Option on Kevin Love’s Contract, Negotiations for New Commitment Expected

Miami Heat management has declined its $4 million option on Kevin Love’s contract, Adrian Wojnarowski of Miami reported. ESPN.

However, both parties have been in favor of negotiating a new commitment when the next free agency begins on July 1, confirmed sources close to the situation.

Love arrived in Miami in 2023 after eight and a half seasons wearing the Cleveland Cavaliers jersey, where he won the ring in 2016.

Under Erik Spoelstra he has played a total of 76 games (22 as a starter) with averages of 8.5 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 33% in triples in 17.7 minutes per day.
