Michael de Leeuw Signs One-Year Contract with SC Cambuur

Michael de Leeuw has signed a contract with SC Cambuur. The former FC Groningen player signs for one season with the club from Leeuwarden.

The 37-year-old De Leeuw comes over from Willem II, where his contract had expired. “Michael has an impressive track record and can be important with his experience inside and outside the lines,” technical manager Lars Lambooi responds to the club channels from SC Cambuur. “He is convinced of our project and will contribute to it with his attacking qualities, routine and leadership. We are therefore very happy that he has chosen us.”

The attacker from Goirle had a successful year at Willem II last season by becoming champion with the Tilburg team. De Leeuw previously played for SC Veendam, De Graafschap, FC Groningen (two terms), Chicago Fire, FC Emmen.
