Michael Stich Returns to Wimbledon as TV Expert with Prime Video

At the beginning of the 1990s, Michael Stich was one of the best tennis players in the world. Now the 55-year-old is passing on his expertise.

German tennis icon Michael Stich is returning to the scene of his greatest triumph as a TV expert. The 55-year-old is part of the team of the streaming service Prime Video for the Grand Slam tournament in Wimbledon, which the Pinneberger won in 1991.

“The Championships, Wimbledon has an incredible history and tradition, you can feel this enthusiasm as a player on the court but also outside of Centre Court,” said Michael Stich, who also won Olympic gold in doubles with Boris Becker in 1992.

In addition to Stich, the streaming service’s team of experts includes Andrea Petkovic, Alexander Zverev’s older brother Mischa Zverev, Dustin Brown, Barbara Rittner and Sabine Lisicki, who reached the final at Church Road in 2011. The broadcast of the oldest tennis tournament in the world will be moderated by Katharina Kleinfeldt and Alex Schlüter.

The third Grand Slam tournament of the year begins on July 1st. Prime Video holds the exclusive broadcasting rights in Germany and Austria for the first time.
