MLB announced permanent suspension for the Venezuelan player of the San Diego Padres, Tucupita Marcanoand others four suspensions for violations of the league’s sports betting policy. Besides that Marcano was declared permanently ineligible, the league also suspended for one year to the launcher of the Padres, Jay Groometo the launcher of the A’s de Oakland, Michael Kellyto the infielder of the Philadelphia Phillies, José Rodríguezand to the launcher of the Diamondbacks de Arizona, Andrew Saalfrank.
A’s P Michael Kelly and Diamondbacks P Andrew Saalfrank among 4 players suspended 1 year for betting on baseball.
Kelly bet a total of $99.22 on baseball and Saalfrank $445.87, according to MLB.
Saalfrank is currently in minors but pitched in last year’s World Series.

Total, Marcano bet more than US$150,000 on baseballof which US$87,319 were in MLB-related bets (an average of approximately US$378 for bet).
