Marc Marquez’s move to the Ducati Lenovo Team is the hottest topic of discussion in the 2025 MotoGP racer transfer market.

But the puzzle is, how much money does the Ducati manufacturer spend to pay the 6-time MotoGP world champion? Remembering that MM93 once held the status of the racer with the highest salary.

While still under contract at the manufacturer with the single flapping wing logo, Marc Marquez earned a salary of 12 million euros per season or IDR 211 billion, per today’s exchange rate, Monday (17/6/2024).

This nominal value had placed The Baby Alien as the racer with the highest salary.

However, after deciding to move from Honda, which has been strengthened since 2013, to Gresini, Alex Marquez’s older brother’s payment is still a puzzle.

Reportedly, The Baby Alien received a nominal fee far below when he was still a Repsol Honda rider. Some even said that Gresini did not pay a single penny of Marquez’s salary, because the racer’s income from his personal sponsor was fantastic.

In the latest report TuttomotoriwebMarc Marquez will receive a nominal salary above Francesco ‘Pecco’ Bagnaia.

This 31 year old racer receives the same nominal wage as he received when he was a Honda racer.

However, Ducati is also open to the option of giving Marquez a more fantastic salary, provided that the personal sponsorship conflict with the factory team can be resolved.

The Borgo Panigale manufacturer can provide a salary increase of 14 million Euros per season (Rp. 246 billion).

Marquez’s salary is said to be much higher, even double that of Bagnaia, who gets paid 7 million euros per season.

So far Marc Marquez is tied to several big brands.
