Jose Mourinho is taking over the traditional Istanbul club Fenerbahce. The coach announced this on Saturday evening in an eight-second video post on the football club’s official channel at X. “Let’s start our journey together,” said the 61-year-old, who is to be presented on Sunday evening in the Fenerbahce stadium.

The Turkish runner-up did not initially provide any further details, such as the length of the contract. As the news agency DHA reported on Friday, the star coach is to receive a two-year contract. Mourinho most recently coached AS Roma and will succeed Ismail Kartal in Istanbul.
