Nagelsmann: “I don’t expect an easy victory”
At the press conference, Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann looked back with satisfaction on his team’s group stage.
“We started with a match that was easier than we expected. Then we had a more difficult duel with Hungary, which gave us problems physically. Finally, against Switzerland we waited a long time to equalize.”
“It’s good to win all your games 3-0, that gives confidence, but I prefer it this way. We’ve experienced different match situations this way.”
On Saturday, the German national coach expects a better performance from his team than in the last group match against Switzerland.
“I hope that we won’t wait until the last minute to equalize and that we will win easily, but I don’t expect that. Denmark is a very well-organized team. It will be a difficult opponent. They have very experienced and physically strong players in their ranks. They defend aggressively and adapt well to different situations.”
