The town of Saint-Laurent-d’Arce is very proud to count among its inhabitants a French judo champion since April 7. Nathan Aboud won this title and therefore a nice gold medal during the French adapted para judo championships, in the senior category under 81 kilos, which took place in Montauban.

Born on May 18, 1998, Nathan has been practicing judo assiduously since he was 10 years old, with his teacher Thierry David. He trained first at Saint-André-de-Cubzac until 2022 before continuing his practice at Bouscat. He also has a license in adapted para judo. “Nathan is autistic,” explains his father, “and practicing judo has helped him a lot in his personal development. He now works at Esat La Balastière in Libourne. He started by taking care of green spaces and now he is in the restaurant business where he provides the service with great pleasure and seriousness. »

Numerous medals

Nathan left only good memories at the Saint-André martial arts association where he started and where he won over everyone, his coaches and his sports friends, with his kindness and his seriousness during training and the competitions. He has won numerous bronze, silver and gold medals in different successive categories during departmental and regional competitions. He has participated several times since 2016 in the French championship finals, finishing on the podium several times until consecration this year with this national title.

A black belt since 2019, he is actively preparing for his second dan passage, always with equal seriousness and determination.
