Chet Walker, champion of the NBA with the Philadelphia 76ers and member of the Basketball Hall of Fame, died at age 84, The NBA Retired Players Association reported this Saturday.
A seven-time All-Star, Walker won the ring with the Sixers in 1967. “In his 13 NBA seasons, Walker scored 18,831 points and grabbed 7,314 rebounds. with averages of 18.2 points and 7.1 rebounds per game,” the NBA detailed on its official website.

Nicknamed ‘The Jet’, Walker played for the Syracuse Nationals, the Sixers and the Chicago Bulls.“Walker left a profound impact on our city and our league”the Sixers stated on the social network X.
For their part, the Bulls remembered him as “a legendary figure” and “a true icon” of the Chicago franchise.
