NBA Draft 2024, ‘duel’ between Zaccharie Risacher and Donovan Clingan for the first overall pick?

ESPN’s Jonathan Givony and Jeremy Woo have updated their projections for the 2024 NBA Draft, with the Atlanta Hawks holding the first overall pick.

The Georgia team is still far from making a final decision, but many insiders point to Zaccharie Risacher as the favorite for the first overall pick. The French winger will participate in a workout for the Hawks today, while at least for now a workout with compatriot Alex Sarr is not scheduled.

Also for this reason Donovan Clingan, rated center from Connecticut, is considered Risacher’s main rival in the race for the much coveted ‘first overall pick’.

Clingan would have impressed the Atlanta Front Office during a workout, showing good long range shooting and game vision.

The possibility of a trade with the Spurs remains at stake, which could return to the Hawks some of the picks received in the deal that brought Dejounte Murray to Georgia.

In this sense, it is worth reading the meetings organized by Atlanta with various candidates for the No. 4 in possession of the Spurs, the various Reed Sheppard, Matas Buzelis, Cody Williams and Ron Holland.
