After four days of intense competition, the new champions of the Spanish Championship of Regional National Teams for School Age and Inclusive are now known, held at the Carolina Marín Sports Palace in Huelva. The winners of this edition have been the Andalusian team in the inclusive competition, the Catalan team in the Children’s category and the Galicia team in the Children’s category.
The final day featured the finals of the three categories, after the group stage was played on Thursday and Friday and on Saturday, the quarterfinals and semifinals, in addition to the duels to define the rest of the positions. It should be remembered that this competition, organized by the Higher Sports Council, the Spanish Badminton Federation and the Andalusian Badminton Federation, with the support of the Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the Government of Andalusia, the Huelva City Council and the Provincial Council of Huelva, could be followed entirely in streaming, exceeding 12,000 views on the Federation’s YouTube channel.

The Catalan team confirmed the potential of its youth team by becoming champion of the children’s category. The Catalan team has had a brilliant competition, putting the cherry on top with a solid victory against the host team in the final (4-0). Catalonia and Andalusia were escorted on the podium by Galicia and Castilla y León, who won the bronze.

💥 cadet category
On the other hand, Galicia managed to continue its good historical results in this competition by winning gold in the cadet category, a title that eluded it last year when it fell in the final. On this occasion, the northern team did not fail and beat the Balearic Islands in an exciting final (4-0). Third place was shared by Andalusia and the Valencian Community.

💥 Inclusive category
The local team from Andalusia was not left without climbing to the top of the podium, as it was the winner of the inclusive competition, in which athletes with and without disabilities compete. The Andalusians also managed to unseat the Castilla La Mancha team, which had won this category in the two previous editions (2-0). The final photo was completed on the podium by the bronze medalists from Asturias and the Valencian Community.
