Norwegian Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) leads Friday after eight stages of the Rally Poland, the seventh round of the season, ahead of Finn Kalle Rovanperä (Toyota).

Rovanperä, the reigning double world champion, was not due to line up in Poland but had to replace Frenchman Sébastien Ogier at short notice, who was the victim of an accident during a reconnaissance on Tuesday.

The eight-time world champion and his co-driver Vincent Landais, victims of a head-on collision, were fortunately not injured, as were the two occupants of the other vehicle involved. But they still had to withdraw from the Polish event.

2. Kalle Rovanperä/Jonne Halttunen (FIN/Toyota) à 1 sec 8

4. Adrien Fourmaux/Alexandre Coria (FRA/M-Sport Ford) at 7.5

5. Martin Sesks/Renars Francis (LVA/Ford) à 7.7
