Novak Djokovic on Tuesday evening in Munich
Preparations for Wimbledon 2024 are in full swing. While the qualifying tournament in Roehampton is still fighting for free places in the table, many of the players who have qualified for the main draw have already been seen training in Arangi Park and on some competition courts.
So does Novak Djokovic.
The seven-time champion at Church Road is currently testing his freshly operated knee. If we can trust the reports of the reporters already present, it looks as if Djokovic is fit enough to actually start next Monday. Given Nole’s high standards, this of course means competing for the title.
Djokovic cheers on the Serbian footballers
Things even seem to be going so well that Novak Djokovic was able to afford a trip to Munich on Tuesday. That evening, the Serbian national football team played against Denmark in their last group match at the European Football Championship.
Now Novak Djokovic is considered more of a basketball fan. But on the one hand, football brings everyone together. And don’t forget: during the somewhat disastrous Adria Tour in summer 2020, Djokovic also invited the participants to the football field for a recreational kick.
Novak Djokovic will certainly take the fact that Serbia failed to make it into the round of 16 on Tuesday into account. And it will not affect his preparation for Wimbledon.
