The next season of American college basketball will be very special. Olivier Rioux, a name that has been known for years for his enormous height, will be part of the Florida Gators next season, making him the tallest player in NCAA history thanks to his 2.36 meters of height. .
Born in Quebec, Rioux holds the Guinness record for the tallest teenager in the world, since at 15 years old he measured 2.26. As it could not be otherwise, such heights did not happen overnight and at the age of 12 he spread panic in the area.
His imposing height helped him go through the Real Madrid youth academy when he was 13 years old, but things didn’t work out. He now remains to see if he has a place in the NBA… something that seems much more complicated but would come with a reward.
