At only 18 years old, Rioux has already amazed everyone with his enormous height, becoming an iconic figure in the sporting field. Officially recognized by Guinness World Records as the world’s tallest teenager when he stood 7 feet 7 inches (226 cm) at age 16, Rioux has continued to grow.

According to the Gators website, he is now 7 feet 9 inches (236 cm). This height will make him the tallest player in NCAA history when he debuts in college basketball. Surprisingly, Rioux has grown five centimeters in just two months, indicating that his growth has not yet stopped.
If Rioux were to reach the NBA, he would become the tallest player in the history of the league, surpassing legends like George Muresan and Manute Bol, both of whom are 2.31 meters. The prospect of having a player of his stature in the NBA has generated great expectations among basketball fans and experts.
Journey as a Madrid fan
Originally from Canada, he has been a commanding presence in several FIBA international competitions. He has represented his country in events such as the U-19 World Cup in 2023, the U-17 World Cup in 2022 and the U-18 Americas Championship in 2024.
Rioux had a brief spell at Real Madrid in 2018, after being seen in the La Roda Tournament playing for a French team. Although he wore the white shirt in the under-13 tournament in Castelldefels, the Madrid club decided not to incorporate him into their ranks.
