Olympic Games 2024: made in France, panache, flamboyance… How Daphné Bürki imagined the costumes for the ceremony

Under the tarpaulins covering the racks, we can partially see the colors of the costumes which, on July 26, will dress the participants in the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games. Seamstresses are busy, while Cathy makes the last hats for this live show, in the heart of the city, which promises to be grandiose. A little further on, Audrey imagines the wigs and makeup, the ceremony promising, in particular, to travel through the history of France.

The orchestration of the outfits was entrusted to Daphné Bürki, 44 years old. Known to the general public as a multi-card host on television from Canal + to France 5, she is also a stylist (she has notably worked with John Galliano). On the evening of July 26, she will also comment, alongside Laurent Delahousse and Alexandre Boyon, on the ceremony live on France 2.
