OM intends to nab an OL target

In order to strengthen itself for the summer transfer window, Olympique de Marseille would like to recruit a player that Olympique Lyonnais has been monitoring for some time.

The arrival of Roberto De Zerbi at theOlympic Marseille sounds like a fresh wind for the Marseille club. The Italian tactician is recognized on the world stage. Mehdi Benatia and Pablo Longoria worked very well on this file. With the arrival of his former sporting director from Sassuolo, De Zerbi has ambitious goals for the transfer window.

Having coached in Italy but also in England, the former Brighton coach has an overview of certain football players. OM’s objective is to strengthen considerably this summer to become competitive again. Looking for a midfielder, the Marseillais would have targeted Tanguy Ndombelewho will be free from any contract in July, a former Premier League midfielder, as well as Jesper Lindstrom. The latter, currently at SSC Napolihas already reached an agreement with Olympique Lyonnais. De Zerbi really likes the player and would like to bring him back to Marseille, despite competing interest from Lyon.

The race is on

Despite a disappointing season for Jesper Lindstrøm, the Danish player remains interesting for many clubs. Although more desired in Italy, Olympique Lyonnais seemed to be in a good position on this issue. However, it was without counting on De Zerbi and Olympique de Marseille. The Neapolitan club would like to part with its midfielder for an amount of 25 million euros.

For several weeks, OM seemed close to reaching an agreement on the Lindstrøm file, which was also closely followed by OL. Today, the Marseillais would be about to welcome the Dane. With the possible departure of Jordan Veretout, Marseille has several names on its list to replace him. However, competing with Lyon on this issue risks being complicated. The player seems ready to leave SSC Napoli to restart his career.
