OM: Roberto De Zerbi officially appointed coach for three years

Five days after announcing an agreement in principle with Roberto De Zerbi, OM has made official the arrival of its new coach. The Italian technician has signed for the next three seasons. At 45, he has notably coached Sassuolo, Shakhtar Donetsk and Brighton.

“I am very happy to be joining Olympique de Marseille, I had a very strong desire to join this club. The history and prestige surrounding OM, the passion and fervour of its supporters, the seriousness and enthusiasm shown to me by Frank (McCourt), Pablo (Longoria) and Mehdi (Benatia) were decisive in my decision to take on this exciting challenge. I can’t wait to sit on the bench at the Orange Vélodrome, this time as OM coach, and help the club regain the rank that Marseille deserves,” said De Zerbi in a statement published on the club’s website.
