Orlando Magic Decline Joe Ingles’ $11 Million Option, Pursue Experienced Shooter in Free Agency

The Orlando Magic have declined their $11 million ‘team option’ on the contract of 36-year-old veteran Joe Ingles, the outlet’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported. ESPN.

This move is totally logical, since they plan to sign an experienced shooter in free agency, and several names have already been mentioned, such as Klay Thompson, Paul George, or more recently Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.

Ingles has not ruled out returning to the Magic if new negotiations finally come to fruition. Last year he played 68 official games with averages of 4.4 points, 2.1 rebounds and 3 assists in 17.2 minutes starting as a reserve.
