In addition to the already known interest in Klay Thompson, sources close to journalist Marc Stein report that the Orlando Magic would also be willing to offer a large contract to Paul George.
The current Clippers star has a ‘player option’ valued at 48 million for next season, which he plans to reject to negotiate a new long-term commitment. Both parties have been in continuous negotiations without reaching any type of agreement.
The Florida franchise, with more than $50 million to sign, is looking for a proven veteran, and that is where the aforementioned Thompson and George come in. One of the two would be the perfect icing on the cake for his young project in need of an outside launch.
Last year he played 74 official games (all as a starter) with averages of 22.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 41% in triples in 33.8 minutes on the hardwood.
