Paris 2024 Olympic Games: Jules Bouyer and Alexis Jandard European diving champions in the 3m synchronized

One month before the Olympic Games, the Bouyer-Jandard pair responded this Sunday in Belgrade, during the European Championships. In the synchronized 3m, the duo won the gold medal by largely dominating their competition. Except after the second of six dives, the two men held the lead throughout the event. They notably performed a quadruple somersault, perfectly in phase with each other.

Jules Bouyer (21 years old) and Alexis Jandard (27 years old) scored a total of 404.52 points. They were ahead of the Cortes-Garcia pair (79.08 points) and Poland (Lesiak-Rzeszutek, 375.24 points). This is their first major title. An accomplishment which comes at the best time, just over a month before the Olympic Games (July 26-August 11) when the men represent a significant chance of a French medal.

The 3m synchronized diving event will take place on Friday August 2 at 11 a.m. for men. The women’s event will take place on July 27, also at 11 a.m.
