Paris 2024 Olympic Games: Ysaora Thibus, victim of ligament damage to her left knee, uncertain for the Games

Five months after her last appearance, Frenchwoman Ysaora Thibus, suspended at the beginning of February after a positive doping test, was injured this Wednesday morning during her entry into the European Championships in Basel, Switzerland.

She left the track in tears before going for an MRI to determine the severity of her left knee injury. There was great concern in the run-up to the Paris Olympic Games.

This Wednesday evening, the verdict fell. The foilist suffers from a ligament injury. She will not participate in the team events of her European championships. But its participation in the Olympics still remains possible but is now very uncertain.
