Pelinka: “An honor to have Bronny on our program”

Rob Pelinka (Los Angeles Lakers general manager): “The most important thing is to talk about Bronny James the basketball player because it’s his day, he’s the one who was selected with the 55th pick in the draft. Bronny is first and foremost a person of character. He’s a young man who works very hard. Those are the qualities we look for when we select players and add them to our development cell at the Lakers. He had a great workout with us. He showed me his qualities. We had lunch in the building, just to get to know each other.

It became clear that he was a man of character. As for his work ethic, I think we’ve all seen it in action. He never took shortcuts, waited for or took advantage of opportunities in basketball. He worked for everything he got, including being selected today at 55th place. It is therefore an honor for us to integrate it into our program. Coach Reddick is already excited to put a development plan in place around him to improve his basketball skills, transforming him into a player that we believe can make an impact on this franchise and help him. »
