The Spanish driver Fernando Alonso stated this Thursday that “people outside” Aston Martin “see in this project something very interesting for the future”, alluding to the rumors surrounding the British Formula 1 team about making signings for their technical staff.
“We have, logically, a desire to improve. I also believe that people from outside see in this project something very interesting for the future. We have the new factory at full capacity now and we have the wind tunnel that will arrive at the end of the year,” declared the Asturian driver before the DAZN microphones, on the eve of the Canadian Grand Prix.
“I think that several of the names that are now trying to join Aston Martin is a good sign that the team is attractive. Hopefully we have a good technical team and, above all, improve the car in the short term, which is what interests us to the drivers or to the people who are here at the races, who only see tomorrow, Sunday,” Alonso added.
“Our managers and Lawrence [Stroll] They logically have to look at the project in two, five or ten years, but we want the fast car on Sunday and that is what we have to concentrate on,” concluded the driver from Oviedo from the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.
