Demonstrating that they are at a good level, the national parabadminton teams, Pilar Jáuregui, Giuliana Poveda and Nilton Quispe, won three medals in the 4 Nations Para Badminton International 2024 tournament, which took place in Glasgow (Scotland).
The members of the Paris 2024 Program of the Peruvian Sports Institute (IPD) were part of the team, along with Rubí Fernández and Jesús Salvá, and was led by coach Derly Delgado.
Poveda took the silver medal in the SH6 class, after competing in the final against Nithya Sre Sumathy Sivan by 16-21, 21-15 and 17-21.
While Pilar Jáuregui won bronze in singles in the WH2 class, while the duo made up of Nilton Quispe and Giuliana Poveda also obtained third place in the Mixed SH6.
It is worth remembering that Pilar Jáuregui, Giuliana Poveda and Rubí Fernández have qualified for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
