Lieshout – While the last games and activities of the 2023/2024 season still have to take place, the board of this association is already working hard on the coming season. They have meticulously filled the calendar for the coming season (2024/2025) in order to offer the members another beautiful and exciting sports year.
With the season closing for seniors (June 29) and the last playing evening (July 3) still ahead of us, the board is already busy bringing structure to the coming season. After all, they would like to alternate regular playing evenings with tournaments and in addition to that, develop plenty of activities again to make the association more than just a sports club. The first half year therefore looks like this.
Walk-in days
The first evening of the 2024/2025 season is planned for both youth and seniors on Wednesday evening, August 21. A few weeks later (on September 11 and 18), the association will again organize the Rabobank drop-in days, which are specially intended for people who are looking for a sport and – without any obligation – want to get acquainted with badminton sport in general and Badminton Club Lieshout in the special. Thanks to the support of Rabobank, these walk-in days are completely free for everyone.
Try badminton
Two weeks later, the ‘Try Badminton’ course starts again. This course is intended for anyone who wants to learn badminton in a supervised manner and consists of a series of 10 playing evenings that can be purchased at once for a low rate. This course was set up by the national association (Badminton Nederland) and is supervised at Badminton Club Lieshout by Ainara Vandegard and Tim van Bommel.
Tournaments
In addition to these introductory activities, several tournaments are also planned in the first half of the year. For example, the seniors will play an October tournament on October 9 and the youth and seniors will have a buddy tournament on November 13. On December 4, the badminton players will again hold their annual Sinterklaas tournament and on December 18 the annual Christmas tournament. The first half of the year is already quite fully planned.
