Preview of Wimbledon 2024: Schedule, Highlights, and Players to Watch

Wimbledon, the oldest Grand Slam and one of the most prestigious tournaments in the world, starts this Monday, July 1, with the match between Carlos Alcaraz and Mark Lajal (2:30 p.m. PDT). The tournament will be held between July 1 and July 14 at the All England Tennis Club. As is tradition, the tournament will be inaugurated by the Center Court match of the current tournament champion, in this case the Spaniard, number two in the world. The outdoor courts will begin around 12:00 Spanish time.

Over the two weeks, Wimbledon will see a number of rounds of play in both the men’s and women’s categories. The quarter-finals are scheduled for 9 and 10 July, while the semi-finals will be played on 11 and 12 July. The women’s and men’s finals will take place on 13 and 14 July respectively, with both matches starting at 15:00 (CET).
