The departure of Brian Priske from Sparta to the Dutch Feyenoord Rotterdam is a done deal. At least that is what the experienced journalist Jan Vacek claims in the podcast “Where does the hare run”. According to him, the Czech champion has agreed with the Dutch on the conditions under which he will be willing to release the successful Danish coach. “Sparta have negotiated that Brian Priske will leave for a severance package of 5 to 6 million euros. And Lars Friis will remain at Letná as head coach,” said Vacek.

Speculation ends, it’s done. Danish coach Brian Priske says goodbye to Sparta. He led the Letenský club to two championship titles during his tenure. He embellished these last season with a triumph in the cup competition. He will leave the goal of advancing the team to the Champions League group stage to his successor. Expert Jan Vacek spoke about the end of Priske na Letná in the podcast Where the Hare Runs.

“Sparta have negotiated that Brian Priske will go to Feyenoord for a severance fee of five to six million euros,” says Vacek. At the same time, he added that his current assistant Lars Friis will continue at Letná. Sparta has also solved the question of a successor. He will continue his Danish journey. However, assistant Lukas Babalola and head of conditioning Christian Clarup, who are heading to Rotterdam with Prisk, should not continue with that.

Expert Roman Polom also liked the option that Lars Friis would continue as head coach at Letná. But he was afraid that Friis would go to the Netherlands with Prisk. But in the end, that probably won’t happen. “It would make sense to me, there would be the rumored continuity, but this option is less likely. Friis has a great influence on the game of Sparta. After he arrived last winter, Sparta made a performance improvement. He did a great job,” praised Polom.

The Dutch media had previously reported that Pricey agreed with Feyenoord Rotterdam on contract terms. What remained to be done was the agreement between the clubs, which, according to Vack, happened when the clubs agreed on a severance package. It’s a splash last October he extended his summer contract until 2026.

The 47-year-old Danish expert was seen by Feyenoord as a replacement for Arne Slot, who will take over the famous English Liverpool after the departure of Jürgen Klopp. The Rotterdam club, which in the past was also led by Czech coaches Jiří Sobotka and Václav Ježek, has not had a foreign coach since 1991.

Sparta? It should behave like the number one in Central Europe, Polom thinks. He talked about who could replace Priske
