PSG Transfer Window Takes a New Direction Under Nasser Al-Khelaïfi: 8 Players Removed from List

The PSG transfer window has taken a completely different turn since Nasser Al-Khelaïfi set the contours that change everything. The first list of Luis Campos is greatly dissolved.

The season has now ended for a week at Paris SG, which can already rely on an important certainty with the retention of Luis Enrique. The latter even sees his powers being increased with an opinion to be listened to in view of recruitment this summer. And at the same time, the Spanish coach has even started discussions with a view to an extension, which demonstrates its importance. But the master to play in this summer period, behind Luis Campos, is Nasser Al-Khelaïfi who sets the main directions to follow. And regarding the PSG summer transfer window there is a very big change which sweeps away many current avenues.

8 players removed from the list

In the wake of the summer of 2023, when foreign stars were told to leave to make way for French internationals or great national hopes, the pace will accelerate in this direction in 2024. According to information from the specialized account PSGInside -News, the president of PSG brushed aside many avenues studied by Parisian recruiters in order to make it clear that the goal was not once again to pile on foreign players. So, whether the players are foreign, too expensive, not in the profile of Luis Enrique, or unwilling to join Paris, the capital club has decided to cut short all discussions.

Under these conditions, tracks are now considered obsolete. Those which led in particular to the Swedish goal machine Viktor Gyökeres (Sporting), Rafael Leao (Milan AC), Bruno Guimaraes (Newcastle), Victor Osimhen (Naples), Kephren Thuram and Jean-Clair Todibo (Nice), Mohamed Simakan (Leipzig ) and Jérémy Frimpong (Leverkusen) while the track leading to Leny Yoro is not far from being abandoned in the face of the player’s preference to go to Real Madrid. Strong decisions which therefore correspond to Nasser Al-Khelaïfi’s desire to stop putting crazy sums on unconfirmed players, as was the case last year with Manuel Ugarte, Randal Kolo-Muani or Gonçalo Ramos, which had cost more than 200 million between the three of them.

Political will and a lesson learned, the PSG transfer window could therefore hold big surprises this summer, particularly on avenues mentioned for a long time and which are now abandoned.
