Yesterday América officially announced the departure of forward Julián Quiñones, who will join the Al-Qadisiyah club in Saudi Arabia next season.

The attacker, who is concentrated with the Mexican team that will debut this Saturday in the Copa América against Jamaica, signed a four-year contract (until 2028) with the Arab team, which reported the signing yesterday and where it will be directed by the Spanish Míchel González, former coach of Pumas.

One year, 21 goals, 3 titles. 33 him. Thank you so much, Julián Quiñones, the azulcrema team published on their social networks, along with a video showing several moments of the player with his teammates, as well as some of his annotations.

Thank you for all your delivery and dedication Julián. The best of successes in your new project, champion!, he added.

From day #1 that I set foot in this institution I knew what I was coming for and I fulfilled it. I also know that our players’ time at the biggest club in Mexico can be very short. And as it can be excellent, it can also be bad. Mine was very short and in my point of view excellent, where I left traces that can never be erased, the 27-year-old player wrote in his X account.

Thank you to all the people who supported me regardless of the moment and to those who didn’t too, because they encouraged me even more to continue working hard, he concluded.

Quiñones arrived in América in July of last year from Atlas. With the Águilas he won the titles of the Apertura 2023 and Clausura 2024 tournaments of the Liga Mx, in addition to the Champion of Champions.

During his time in Mexican soccer he also played for Lobos BUAP, with whom he debuted in the First Division in 2016, Tigres and Atlas.

In total he won six league championships, two with the Monterrey team (Apertura 2016 and Clausura 2019), two with the rojinegros (Apertura 2021 and Clausura 2022) and two with the azulcremas.

Nancy Antonio arrives in Coapa

On the other hand, the Águilas also announced yesterday the signing of Nancy Antonio, from Tigres and who will join the next Apertura 2024 tournament of the Liga Mx Femenil.
