Rafa Nadal’s Paris Olympics Dreams and Matteo Berrettini’s Comparison of Tennis Legends

Rafa Nadal was eliminated in the first round of Roland Garros against Alexander ZverevRoland Garros against Alexander Zverev who ended up reaching the final. And at the Paris Olympics he wants to try again. Because he felt competitive on clay and he believes he can have a relevant role this summer. Both in singles and doubles with Carlitos Alcaraz.

And one of his rivals on the circuit, Matteo Berrettini, has launched a curious comparison in an interview with ‘Esquire’ in which he has also compared Rafa with Roger Federer, two of the most important tennis players in history along with Novak Djokovic.

Regarding Rafa, he released this phrase: “Everything they did reflected their personality. For example, the look that Rafa wore at the beginning was a tank top and capri pants below the knee. It was as if a bull had entered the arena and “His energy was everywhere.”

“You could feel that this look suited him well, but if you wore it to anyone else on the circuit it would have been a disaster,” says the Italian tennis player.

Federer, however, conveyed much more tranquility and also elegance: “He was the only one who could do that and he achieved it. So I think that when I saw them, they made me understand that it is very important that you feel comfortable with your clothes and with your style when you’re on and off the court, because at the end of the day, you have to perform with it.

With Roger already retired and Rafa facing the end of his successful career, tennis is about to close a glorious era. However, Djokovic’s plans are unknown and if injuries allow he will continue fighting for Grand Slams for at least a few more years.
