Randall Cobb Escapes Fire at Nashville Home: A Reminder of What Truly Matters

Wide receiver Randall Cobb said he and his family escaped a fire at their Nashville home this week.

Cobb’s wife, Aiyda, shared on her Instagram account that a Tesla charger “caught fire in the garage overnight and it spread” throughout the house. She adds that the family left the home. The Cobbs have three children.

Cobb wanted to thank the firefighters who responded to this incident.

“I can’t get the image of the brave firefighter getting into position out of my head. He didn’t have any water to sprinkle at that time. I thought the cars were going to explode and we were going to lose him in this tragedy. He is a true hero,” Cobb said.

“We don’t yet know if anything can be recovered, but it’s a reminder that the most important thing is health and family,” he added.

Cobb, 33, played last season with the New York Jets and is now a free agent.
