Cristiano Ronaldo set a historic record in Euro 2024 after going on a rampage in the Georgia vs Portugal match in the final match of Group F, Thursday (27/6) early morning WIB.

The match against Georgia at Euro 2024 will be Cristiano Ronaldo’s 50th in major tournaments, from the European Championship to the World Cup.

According to Bleacher Report, Ronaldo became the first European player to make 50 appearances in major tournaments.

CR7 first appeared in a major tournament at Euro 2024, when Portugal was the host. At Euro 2024, Ronaldo will be 19 years old.

After the European Cup at home, Ronaldo always appears at big events such as the Euros or the World Cup. In the 2004 European Cup, Ronaldo appeared in all matches, but failed to bring Portugal to the championship after losing to Greece in the final.

Then at the 2006 World Cup in South Africa, the former Manchester United star played in six games helping Portugal to third place. Ronaldo missed only one of the tournament’s matches.

Then in the 2008 European Cup, Ronaldo only appeared three times and was absent once. While in the 2010 World Cup he played four times.

At the 2012 European Cup, this player who once played for Real Madrid appeared in five matches. But Portugal was eliminated by Spain in the semifinals.

Ronaldo played three times in the 2014 World Cup. Portugal was eliminated in the group stage. Then at Euro 2016, Ronaldo played seven times and brought Portugal champions.

In the 2018 World Cup, Ronaldo appeared four times after Portugal was stopped in the last 16. While in the 2020 European Cup, CR7 also played four times.

In the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Ronaldo played five times until the quarter-finals. Now at Euro 2024, Ronaldo has only played three times.

Even though he made history, Ronaldo was disappointed because this great moment occurred when Portugal lost 0-2 to Georgia. Not only that, Ronaldo also failed to score a goal or provide an assist.
