The IES La Orden Badminton Club and the Italian club Matex Marabadminton, both finalists of the 2023 European Championship, have taken another step in their friendly relationship with the launch of a sports and cultural exchange.
This exchange will allow six young athletes from each club to share training, experiences and leisure moments in Huelva and Cagliari (Italy). The Italian athletes are already in Huelva, where they will remain until June 27. During their stay, they will enjoy joint training, sports and recreational activities, and will have the opportunity to get to know the city and the province of Huelva.
More than badminton
The objective of this exchange goes beyond the sports field. It is a twinning experience that seeks to promote cultural and personal exchange between young athletes from both countries. In this way, they will be able to learn about different cultures, improve their language level and establish lasting bonds of friendship.
A successful exchange
The Marabadminton athletes who participated in the exchange also had the opportunity to compete alongside Recreativo IES La Orden in the 5th round of the Todobádminton Circuit, where they collected a total of 7 gold medals, 8 silver medals and 15 bronze medals.
