The Montaigu archery club Les Archers de la digue is organizing the regional outdoor archery championship this Saturday June 22 and Sunday June 23 in the territory of La Guyonnière.
For two days, at the football stadium, 250 archers from Pays de la Loire will compete in their respective category (from U11 to senior 3) in recurve, compound and bare bow. In parallel with the valid competition, there will also be, and this is a first, a para-archers competition. What makes our sport beautiful is its diversity. We can find archers under 10 years old on the shooting range alongside more experienced 70-year-olds, and both able-bodied and para-archers,” points out Franck Rabréau, president of the host association.
On the program, young people and para-archers will shoot on Saturday and adults on Sunday. Archery initiations are planned on Saturday from 2 p.m. and all day Sunday.
