Ranos only moved from FC Bayern’s youth team to the Lower Rhine last year. He is considered one of Germany’s greatest attacking talents, but so far he has not made his breakthrough in professional football – partly because the competition at Gladbach is simply too great.
Borussia recently signed a new top striker in Tim Kleindienst. The former Heidenheim player is likely to be a given. Therefore, both Ranos himself and the Borussia bosses are interested in a loan deal. This is where S04 comes in, who are still looking for a strong center forward.

Simon Terodde and Keke Topp have already left, and Sebastian Polter is expected to leave the club in the coming weeks. New players are therefore urgently needed in the center of the attack. Ranos is said to be an alternative that could suit S04 in many ways.

The Gladbach player mainly uses precise short passing to achieve his moves – this is what S04 coach Karel Geraerts wants to instill in his team during the summer preparation.
