Rodrigo Gómez Re-Elected as President of Soria Baloncesto Club for Four More Years

Rodrigo Gómez will continue four more years as president of the Soria Baloncesto Club, after the electoral process to renew its board of directors has ended with the presentation of a single candidacy. Its members have been proclaimed by the electoral commission as new members of the renewed board of the CSB, the third since its foundation, made up of fifteen of its partners as of now. According to the statutes of the entity, the members are the parents of the boys and girls who are part of the different teams of the Soria Baloncesto Club. Gómez became president in July 2015, replacing Antonio Castilla. The new vice president will be Julia Germain, Rebeca Gonzalo will serve as secretary and the position of treasurer will be occupied by Rubén Ruiz de Azúa.

The Soria Basketball Club has had two teams this season in the First Division (the men’s Transler and the Semillas Adolfo Martínez), eleven in the lower categories (from juvenile to junior, both men and women) immersed in the Autonomous Championships of the different categories, a men’s 3×3 squad, a Nursery School and a large pequebasketball group. With nearly 250 members and around twenty coaches and instructors, the CSB has launched an initiative (‘Basketball for all’) aimed at refugees and immigrants from Soria and has managed the training that the Nuestra Señora del Pilar School offers them. to their students within the different extracurricular activities. The Castilla y León Children’s Cup has been their greatest sporting achievement of the course.
