Romania is temporarily entrenched at the top of Group E of the 2024 European Cup. Belgium slumped due to defeat to Slovakia.
Romania played Ukraine on the first matchday of Group E. Competing at the Allianz Arena, Monday (17/6/2024) evening WIB, Romania won 3-0 through goals from Nicolae Stanciu, Razvan Marin and Denis Dragus.
According to Opta records, this result is Romania’s biggest win in a European Cup or World Cup. Romania is also entrenched at the top of the standings with three points.
Slovakia is in second place after beating Belgium 1-0. The goal in the match which took place at the Waldstadion, Frankfurt, Monday (17/6/2024) evening WIB, was scored by Ivan Schranz.
Slovakia is right behind Romania on goal difference. Belgium sits in third with zero points and Ukraine is at the bottom due to having the worst goal difference.
