Carabiniri checks at Tor Bella Monaca
(AGR) The Carabinieri of the Rome Tor Bella Monaca station carried out an extraordinary territorial control service aimed at preventing and combating all forms of degradation, illegal activity and illegality in the areas with the greatest criminal incidence.
The activity, shared within the provincial committee for public order and safety chaired by Prefect Lamberto Giannini, falls within the scope of a strategy prepared by the Provincial Command of the Carabinieri of Rome.
Overall, 129 people were identified and checks were carried out on 88 vehicles.
A 20-year-old from Morocco ended up in handcuffs when he was caught giving some doses of cocaine to a young man. The Carabinieri then reported three people: a 63-year-old Roman, stopped in his car and found in possession of a dog-repellent pistol with 22 blank cartridges, a baseball bat and 60 knives of various types and lengths, and two young found on board a motor vehicle found to be the result of a theft, reported on 16 February 2024.
The Carabinieri also reported three young people to the Territorial Office of the Government of Rome because they were found in possession of a small quantity of marijuana and cocaine for personal use.
Finally, the Carabinieri of the Rome Tor Bella Monaca station, together with personnel from the ASL Roma2, carried out a series of checks at various businesses in the neighborhood. Following the checks, the owners of two bars and a minimarket were fined for sanitary deficiencies. The owner of the convenience store was also notified of the immediate suspension of the activity, until the significant deficiencies found were regularized.
The above is communicated, with respect for the suspects who are to be considered presumed innocent, in consideration of the current phase of the proceedings, i.e. that of the preliminary investigations, until a definitive finding of guilt with an irrevocable sentence and in order to safeguard the right of constitutionally guaranteed news.
