Rostock. For almost a month now, the Rostock Seawolves have been selling season tickets for the new season in the 1st Basketball Bundesliga, which begins in September. “I was very excited to see how things would go after the disappointing sporting season,” says club boss André Jürgens.

He was pleasantly surprised: 1,400 season tickets have been sold since sales began on June 1. Club members and season ticket holders from the previous season have an exclusive right of first refusal until June 30. After that, open sales will begin.
Jürgens assumes that last year’s result will be achieved. 1,600 season tickets were sold for the 2023/24 season. That is the stated goal again this year. “We would be happy with that. I am convinced that we can do it and am already pleased with the positive response. From many conversations with fans and sponsors, I know that the anticipation and support are unbroken.”
League gets smaller by one team – Seawolves adjust their offer
In the past season, which the Wolves finished in 15th place in the table, an average of 4,200 spectators attended the 17 home games in the Rostock town hall. In the new season, there will be one less home spectacle. Two teams, Tübingen and Crailsheim, were relegated. However, only Frankfurt will be promoted. Karlsruhe was denied a license by the BBL. There is no wildcard procedure.

The Seawolves have responded to this. In addition to the 16 home games, season ticket holders receive access to one more – either in the BBL Cup or for a play-in or play-off home game after the end of the Bundesliga main round.

Season ticket prices range from 221 to 595 euros (regular payers) and 187.50 to 505.75 euros (club members) – and in some spectator areas are up to nine percent above the previous year’s level. “We have to react to the current economic situation, which entails many increased costs, and have made adjustments in the distribution of price categories,” explains the club boss.
To increase the attractiveness of the season ticket, there will be a competition in the new season. Prizes to be won include jerseys, admission tickets, gala visits and upgrades to the VIP area at Seawolves home games.

By the way: If you want to watch the Seawolves home duels as a VIP guest, you should have a bigger budget. The 500 tickets per home game, which include a seat as well as food and drinks in the separate foyer, are in high demand. These tickets are reserved for sponsors and are not available for general sale. They can be purchased through the office.
