The Rozanduc community sports hall is hosting the Brittany badminton championships this weekend. An event orchestrated by regulars of the place, since the opening of the site in April 2023, the Trégunc badminton club.
Two stands, nine fields

Unlike Trégunc, the site has two stands, a clubhouse and above all nine pitches. The league’s specifications are particularly strict. In order to protect his back, in the event of a number of participants greater than 200, he wanted to have, in addition to the large room, the Colette-Besson room.
“This is the third time that we have organized activities in this place. In May 2023 and 2024 during the 5th and 6th Ty Glaz tournaments. Last May, over three days we welcomed 240 players. Right from the start in 2023, while the Trégunc sports hall was under construction, and we were looking for a hall for the Ty Glaz tournament, we noticed the potential of the Rozanduc hall. I think that in the future we will organize big tournaments, while taking into account the calendar of the handball championship which has priority during interclub meetings », confides Cindy Dréo who did not need to whistle the reminder to mobilize her troops.
A little hassle
The league was especially worried about logistics and organizing scorer tables. Our volunteers found the four missing referee chairs in Quimperlé and will have to work with other referees in the league. It’s a wealth and a gain in experience to be gained, testifies Cindy Dréo. His club has reached National 3 for the first time in its history.
